Indiana may be known for its corn fields and an abundance of rustic barn venues but just north of Indianapolis lies the beautiful gem that is White Willow Farms. The gorgeous white event barn offers a unique experience for the couple who wants both elegance and an intimate, down-to-earth wedding day.
Below are 5 reasons I love to shoot at White Willow Farms and why you should consider getting married here!
1. Beautiful backdrops
The large property features shaded outdoor areas, mature trees, and wildflower fields — lots of perfect spots for photos and video! The indoor space is just as amazing with its white-washed walls to ceilings and natural light.
2. Perfect ceremony space(s)
Behind the grand white barn you’ll find a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site complete with original wooden pews to seat all of your guests and a little wedding chapel that is as perfect on its own as dressed up with greenery and florals. A chance of rain on your day? Don’t worry. White Willow Farms has a backup plan in place for you that won’t take away from your planned ceremony. The barn is large enough to allow for a ceremony space as a back up in case of rain. Reception tables can be setup prior to the ceremony and you don’t have to move them or “flip” the space in case of inclement weather.
3. One of the largest event barns in Indiana
White Willow Farms’ large barn can accommodate up to 350 guests yet still offers an intimate feel. I’ve shot weddings here with less than 10 guests and up to 300 and both experiences were just as perfectly intimate as you’d hope your wedding day to be.
4. Getting ready locations
White Willow Farms offers two suites for the couple and their wedding party to get ready. As a wedding vendor I’ve been to A LOT of weddings and various locations for getting ready so trust me when I say that getting ready on location takes away so much stress on the day! It allows you to truly enjoy your wedding as opposed to having to drive around from location to location and account for that time in your timeline.
5. Amazing owners and staff
Last but not least, the owners Joel and Holli and their team are amazing! They will care for you like family and they have truly invested their full hearts into creating an Indiana wedding venue experience that will blow you away while easing a lot of the typical stresses in wedding planning and provide a unique event for you and your guests. They have always made me and my second shooters feel welcome and they’re so helpful and accommodating.
